Visu

Visu is a mead brand geared towards designers, artists, and other creative professionals. I created it during my first year at Oulu University of Applied Sciences. I was inspired by old apothecary bottles and wanted to do something in the same style while still keeping the design modern. The labels are first printed out, after which information such as bottle number and brew date is stamped individually to each label, making every bottle unique. As a final touch, the Visu emblem is burned into the corks with a branding iron. The mead is home-brewed by me from honey produced by my parents bee farm.

Later I also created a fully functional and responsive website for Visu. It tells the story of how Visu came to be and how it's made, accompanied by beautiful photos I took of a Visu bottle in its natural habitat, an artists studio.
